CAMPSIS (trumpet vine)

Campsis First Editions®Atomic Red™ - Buds appear dark red and open into trumpet-shaped, red-orange flowers, maturing to a deep, bold red. This vigorous vine climbs 20-30 feet tall in full sun. Prune in early spring. Zone 5-9


CELASTRUS (Bittersweet)
0895-12_CelastrusscanAutumnRevolutionBittersweet.jpg.jpgC. scandens ‘Autumn Revolution’ American bittersweet vine that has ‘perfect’ flowers (meaning it has both male and female parts). Just one vine can produce fruits that are a large, gorgeous orange in the fall. They will split open to reveal red seeds late or after a frost. Grows to 15-25 feet. Zone 3-8.

CLEMATIS

Clematis Amethyst Beauty.jpgClematis ‘Amethyst Beauty’ – Dark, velvety purple, 6 inch flowers mature into purple-blue and bloom in summer. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds, resistant to deer. Plant in full to part sun in average to moist, well-drained soil. Grows 8-10 feet, spreads 3-4 feet. Zone 3-7

This vine bears large 5-7 inch flowers of white and pink. Blooms are semi-double in late spring to early summer and will re-bloom single in late summer to early fall. Takes full sun and an average, well-drained soil.

 

 

Clematis cherokee.jpgClematis ‘Cherokee’ – Features sweet pink flowers with a dark pink central band. Flowers  from late spring into late summer. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds, deer resistant. Plant in full sun to part shade in average, well-drained soil. Grows 8-10 feet, spreads 3-4 feet. Zone 3-7

 

           

Clematis Chevalier.jpgClematis ‘Chevalier’ – Rich purple flowers mature into blue, yellow anthers in center provide contrast from summer into fall. Attracts butterflies and hummingbirds, deer resistant. Plant in full to part sun in average, well-drained soil. Grows 8-10 feet, spreads 3-4 feet. Zone 3-7

 

 

Clematis CRATER LAKE (‘Mazury’) Double blooms are large, 6-7 inches, and a pretty periwinkle color with an ivory center. This clematis is part of the late flowering group which will first produce flowers on new growth in midsummer and then bloom again in early fall. Second time blooms may be single and smaller. Vines grow 6.5-10 feet and will require a trellis or support. Attracts hummingbirds and resistant to rabbits and deer. Zones 4-8

C. Regal®Diamantina™ - an early flowering clematis that features 6 inch, double, blue flowers that bloom in spring and will casually repeat bloom in summer and fall. Grows 6-8 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide with support. Plant in full to part sun. Zone 4-9

Clematis ‘Fujimusume’
This variety bears single, solid violet-blue blooms that are 5-7 inches across. Full sun is best but can take light shade and prefers an average, well-drained soil. It is a compact selection, but still a vigorous grower.

Clematis ‘Innocent Blush’

This clematis features a beautiful semi-double flower that opens up resembling a peony flower. The blooms are 5-7 inches across and are light pink that darkens at the edges. Blooms the semi-double flowers in early summer and re-blooms single flowers in late summer to early fall. Grows to 6 feet, takes full sun to part shade with an average, well-drained soil.

Japanese clematis produces full double magenta flowers that are 4-6 inches across. Blooms in early summer and again in fall. Full sun to part shade. 4-6 ft. Zones 4-8

Clematis ‘Sapphire Indigo’ Compact vine with large sapphire blue flowers. Long blooming season. Can be trained as a vine or grown as a shrubby ground cover. Deer and rabbit resistant.  Full sun to part shade. 3-4 ft. tall and wide. Zones 4-10

  All the features of a sweet autumn clematis with earlier and longer lasting blooms in a vibrant purple with red tinges. This fragrant vine starts blooming in mid-summer and can last until fall. Takes full sun to part shade in an average, well-drained soil.

C. ‘Piilu’  Often touted as the most heavily blooming Clematis. Light pink flowers with a dark purple-red bar. First blossoms are double and second round are single to 3-4” across. Grows 4-6’. Pruning code 2.

C. Regal®Diamantina™ - an early flowering clematis that features 6 inch, double, blue flowers that bloom in spring and will casually repeat bloom in summer and fall. Grows 6-8 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide with support. Plant in full to part sun. Zone 4-9           


 
C. ‘Wildfire’  Huge 6-8”, saturated magenta to violet purple flowers with a reddish purple bar glow in the sun. Very long blooming variety and quite stunning! Grows 8-10’. Pruning code 2.

C. 'integrifolia'  (shrub form)  We have had this reliable bush clematis in our gardens for several years and are now offering it again because of the many requests from everyone who sees it in flower (which seems to be most of the summer!).  This variety flowers with nodding blue or pink bell-shaped flowers.  Will need some support as it will tend to flop after a heavy rain when loaded with flowers.  Hardy to Zone 3.

Clematis recta SERIOUS BLACK™ A bush clematis with an awesome effect. Blooms in clusters of white flowers on dark purple foliage that does not require support but makes a good garden partner with taller perennials. In the early to midseason group, it will bloom on the previous years growth first and then rebloom on new growth. Grows 4-6 feet tall and spreads 3-4.5 feet. Full sun to part shade. Attracts butterflies and resistant to deer and rabbits. Zones 3-9

G. ‘Margarita’ – a tough vine with semi-evergreen foliage and blooms in early summer a fantastic display of yellow trumpet flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Deer resistant. Plant in full to part sun. Zone 6-9
